Mississauga Condo Saves Up to $50,000 with Strategic Irrigation Retrofit During Parking Lot Renovation

The Challenge

We were approached by a Property Manager in Mississauga – they were re-doing their parking lot and sidewalks and wanted to take the opportunity to replace the irrigation system based on the advice of their current irrigation contractor. We were invited to provide an estimate.

Our Approach

Rather than simply providing the property with an estimate, Arizona took the opportunity to arrive on site and perform a comprehensive evaluation of the current irrigation system. They also took the time to better understand the challenges the owners were facing with the existing system.

Arizona took this opportunity to provide the Board with a second opinion on approach to the irrigation system.

Our Solution

Ultimately, Arizona provided a plan involving strategic conduit placements as well as revitalization of the irrigation system during the driveway and sidewalk construction. It was determined that the cost to replace the system would be exponentially higher and was deemed to be unnecessary. With careful management the existing system could be both modified and improved at a fraction of the cost.

Our Result

With the help of an active Property Manager and an organized and invested Condo Board, we successfully implemented our plan to fruition.

As the project proceeded, our Project Managers  maintained communication with both Property Management and construction firms as well as engineers to ensure that, as we wound our way through the variations and minor changes of the project, we remained on track. We successfully completed the system retrofit providing this property not only with a completely revised irrigation system, but a state of the art system with remote water management and more.

We believe that this approach, revitalizing and retrofitting the existing irrigation system, rather than full replacement, saved the condominium between $25,000 - $50,000. Additionally our ability to handle logistics and communication with the various parties involved would minimize the stress and concern that would have weighed on both the Property Management and Board members/owners respectively.
